Deep Dive

Exactly what is a drive by in the Gulf Stream?  What is it like to sit on top of a car in a sink hole at a depth of greater than sixty feet without lights?  What is so different about altitude diving?  There are many things that make an Instructor great but the best is the experience.  Ask our Lead Instructor these questions on your dives when you book your scuba activity with Kauai Scuba Center today.

For some people it is hard to fathom wanting to do a ‘deep dive'.  We have all seen the dramatic scuba adventure movies and that is just what they are - drama.  Open Water Divers can dive to a depth of 60 feet with their certification; this is the depth that has been researched and tested for decades.  As an open water diver, you would have learned about atmospheric pressure at depth, decompression limits, air supply, nitrogen narcosis, multi-level diving and more.  Continuing your education to an Advanced Diver, a greater wealth of information is shared and part of that is the deep dive.  As an advanced diver you would be qualified to venture to 100 feet.  Some oceanic creatures live at greater depth and the only way to see them up close is to become an advanced diver.

All individuals are different, so atmospheric pressures affect people in different ways, Kauai Scuba Center Instructors are ever vigilant of what your needs are and also what your limitations are before sometimes you know yourself.   All Instructors trained, have their training limited to the specific environment they study in, so the more an Instructor has traveled, the more environments/situations that he or she has been in, is totally the key to your successful, fun, safe and exhilarating adventure under the sea.  An Instructor has to love what he does and it will show in his enthusiasm to share and teach the experience with patience, kindness and sometimes even calling off the dive, if the waves are too high or the water is too murky.  Your enjoyment, safety and awesome scuba story is Kauai Scuba Center's foremost importance.
